Our Commitment to Responsible Travel

Updated April 2026

Pai Dai operates in Thailand and Vietnam with a responsibility to the communities, environments, and cultures that make these destinations extraordinary. We prioritise local suppliers, locally owned accommodation, and local guides — not because it looks good on paper, but because it produces better travel and stronger local economies. Every operational decision, from hotel selection to transport routing, considers its impact alongside its cost.

We are building measurable sustainability practices into our operations: supplier selection criteria that include environmental and labour standards, an animal welfare policy that prohibits exploitative wildlife interactions, cultural preservation guidelines for all guided experiences, and waste and energy baselines for our offices in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. These are not aspirational statements — they are operational commitments with designated ownership and review dates.

Travelife Membership

We are a member of Travelife and we have started the process to work step by step towards complying with international sustainability standards. Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents: (1) Travelife Engaged; (2) Travelife Partner and (3) Travelife Certified. We are at stage 1 – Travelife Engaged. We are working to move forward to stage 2 – Travelife Partner.
