Why book this through Pai Dai rather than arranging the hotels and the cruise ourselves?+
The rooms and the cruise are bookings; the honeymoon is our product. We add the airport-to-room logistics across two regions, the boutique and resort categories secured in advance, the private cruise cabin, the domestic flight tied into the transfers, a private guide on the touring days, and a single named contact who carries the trip from arrival to departure. On a honeymoon, the value is not having to manage any of it yourselves, and being able to extend the trip into Thailand as one seamless booking.
Is this a private trip for two, or a group tour?+
It is fully private. There is no group, no fixed departure, and no shared coach. The itinerary is built around the two of you, the cruise cabin and every transfer are exclusive, and the guided days use a private guide and driver. The unguided days are entirely yours. We simply hold the whole trip together behind the scenes.
Why eight nights, and why this shape?+
Eight nights is the length that lets a honeymoon breathe across a country this long without rushing. Two nights settle you into Hanoi, one night puts the bay at the centre of the trip rather than at its edge, and five unhurried nights on the coast give you a lantern town, a couples spa day, an optional island, and the slow beach mornings a honeymoon is actually for. Shorter and the trip becomes a transfer schedule; this length keeps it a honeymoon.
Which rooms should we book, and how far ahead?+
The most romantic categories, the better cruise cabins with private balconies and the pool villas on the coast, are a small share of any good property and the most requested, especially in the November to April peak. For peak-season travel we recommend approaching us at least three to four months out, and we will hold dates while you finalise.
What happens to the cruise or the island day if the weather turns?+
Both are weather-dependent and we plan for it. The bay is windiest in winter, so we select cruises rated for normal winter conditions, watch the forecast in the week before you sail, and move to the more sheltered Lan Ha departure or shift the embarkation if an advisory closes the open bay. The Cham Islands charter runs in the calmer season; if the sea is unsuitable, the coastal day stays on the mainland and the island time is offered later in the stay if a window opens. Your contact confirms everything in advance.
Can the honeymoon extend beyond Vietnam?+
Yes, and this is one of the few things a Thailand and Vietnam DMC can offer seamlessly. A Phuket or Koh Samui beach leg can follow Vietnam as a single itinerary, with one contact across both countries and no handoff between separate providers. The extension is optional and shaped to your tone; the Vietnam honeymoon stands fully on its own.
