Is this trip more about the city or the beach?+
It is split city first, then sea. The first three days take Bangkok, the old city and the river and the canals, before a short flight south carries the route to the Andaman for four days on the coast around Krabi and Phuket. Travellers who want the heritage of the centre and the north as well, Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai, are better suited to a longer culture-and-beach itinerary we build on the same ground team.
How does the internal flight work?+
One short domestic flight carries the route, Bangkok to Krabi on the morning of day four, a little over an hour in the air. It is included and booked with the group, and the guide handles the airport logistics at both ends so the flying day stays simple. From Krabi the route continues south by boat to Phi Phi and on to Phuket, so there is no second internal flight.
How does the Maya Bay visit work?+
Maya Bay sits inside a national marine park and access runs on a controlled, pre-booked timed slot with a daily cap on visitors and seasonal closures set by the park. We book the slot ahead and hold the visit to that window on the Phi Phi speedboat day, so the bay is part of the route when it is open and the booking is confirmed, not an open-ended stop.
When is the best time for the Andaman islands?+
November to April is the clear, calm season on the lower Andaman and the best window for the boat days. Through the southwest monsoon, roughly mid-May to mid-October, the seas are rougher and some island days run shorter or reroute to more sheltered water, and Maya Bay follows the park's own seasonal closures. The Bangkok half of the trip travels well year round.
Are the island days suitable for non-swimmers and mixed groups?+
Yes. Snorkelling equipment is provided and the stops range from shallow, sheltered water to deeper reef, so non-swimmers can stay in the shallows or on the beach while stronger swimmers take the reef. The four-islands day runs by longtail and the Phi Phi day by speedboat, both with licensed crews, and the pace is set so mixed-ability groups can all take part.
Does this route work for both travel partners and direct travellers?+
Yes. We run the same eight-day journey with the same ground team and operational care whether it is booked by a travel partner placing a group or by direct travellers planning a private departure. Pricing is quote-based and tailored to group size, season and the level of inclusion you need.
